Day 6: Favourite Young Adult Book
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
I have yet to read this one.. I have so many on my ‘leisure’ reading list. Getting kinda out of hand now!
If you can correctly pronounce every word in this poem, you will be speaking English better than 90% of the native English speakers in the world. After trying the verses, a Frenchman said he’d prefer six months of hard labour to reading six lines aloud. Try them yourself.
Sheer genius. I failed, stumbled on several occasions. But I always knew my pronunciation was terrible. I blame my mother (hers is awful).
Drives. Me. Mental.
I never get bored of looking out of windows, whether it’s a plane, train or an automobile I can get lost in the sight of the world whizzing by me. So when people close the blinds of the window and sleep through the WHOLE flight I think it’s completely out of order. Why the need to hog the window seat if you’re not going to use the window!?
